As you have seen, I have thinking about decisions we make quite a bit.  And the fact I am going to be 51 on Monday - how did I get so old? 

I don’t know about you, but coupled with the anxiety I suffer, I often find making decisions hard, especially when I have to make multiple decisions quickly. 

I guess this is a little bit of a strange one, considering the one I posted about the start of a day and how it was, but of course there was a build-up, a particular set of circumstances that led to the events that occurred. 

WHAT a start to the day….ok, well, actually it probably really began yesterday and from before, too.  So, you ask, what on EARTH happened to you and your family?

Today is yet another day we remember the loss of our babies. 

As I am fast approaching my 51 birthday, my mind has began to think back over this past year and the things that have happened to me. 

When I was young I loved reading and would devour mostly any books I could find and would sometimes visit people to see if they had anything new that I could borrow and return to them. 

This week has been very different for me in a lot of ways.  After the week in hospital, life has been much better for because of how well I have been feeling.

There have been so many thoughts going round my head this past week - as you can probably imagine.

Well, I know you must have been thinking when the next “news” from me was coming.  I will admit it has been longer than I anticipated.  But I can tell you I had good reason for doing so.

Well, I guess this is a kind of catch up with you all…it’s not really news of the week because of what I’m going to focus on. 

I was thinking about writing this because I was talking to someone today who told me that her nephew had autism but grew out of it. 

I know one of my friends asked me to write something about this a few years ago but I just didn’t feel it was the right time to do so. 

I thought I had finished writing about nature and nurture and their impact on lives, but actually realised I haven’t.  There is more I would like to share with you about it. 

I was just watching another Chef’s Table on Netflix and I must admit, the more I watch it, the more fascinating it becomes. 

Well, I know you are probably wondering what has been going on with us.  My writing and inspiration has been spotty at best but things are beginning to improve thank goodness. 

Seeing Kevin starting his new job has been very rewarding.  He has been enjoying the challenge of learning the new role and the new situation he finds himself in. 

One of the most frustrating things I find when dealing with mental health and other people is when they tell you to “just change perspective and think differently.”

Today I have decided I want to talk to you about self-care.  Sometimes it can be hard to understand that what you want to do isn’t ACTUALLY selfish.

Seeing Kevin starting his new job has been very rewarding.  He has been enjoying the challenge of learning the new role and the new situation he finds himself in.
