News in a Nutshell 23
Well, I know you are probably wondering what has been going on with us. My writing and inspiration has been spotty at best but things are beginning to improve thank goodness. My health is slowly beginning to improve as I am being given my medication at regular intervals and using a cpap for my sleep apnea. Looking back, I can see I have had it for years without knowing.
Anyway, enough of me and my health for the moment. Kevin is LOVING his new job and I am thoroughly enjoying watching him do so. It has been a great move for him and I am thrilled to know he is there.
Johnathan has been creating another experimental music album. He played the new music to me over the weekend and again, I have to admit, it really IS excellent. Yes, what he enjoys creating is not the usual style of music I would choose to listen to, but that doesn’t matter. I can still tell it’s good and he was telling me he always puts some notes together as a “signature” part of his creativity somewhere in the piece he does.
Maisie ended up at the vets this week. She is now 10 years old and having trouble jumping onto things, which isn’t really surprising, seeing as in human age she is the equivalent of a 70 year old. Poor girl was crying every time she tried to jump and in the end, she keeps giving up because she just can’t make it any more. So she was given some pain relief and it should help her as it builds up in her system.
Personally, I struggled with the heat over the weekend. I spent most of the weekend in bed in front of my fan to try and help me keep a bit cooler. Kevin also opened the windows slightly when the air outside was cooler than inside the house. Unfortunately we can’t open them properly because Melody and Tara are house cats and little Tara is still the size of about a six month old kitten and can get through very small spaces. I never knew cats could make it through such tiny spaces until we had her. So we have to ensure her safety.
Life continues, creativity is returning and I am improving greatly in terms of exhaustion but just need my physical and mental health to catch up. I know it will happen at some point. AND I haven’t fallen since 4 February, which I think is a record for me! Having carers coming in has helped me greatly and I am grateful for them.
TREASURE
My health is improving, creativity returning and no falls for a LONG time for me. Taking care of myself with help to do so has been a wonderful blessing and I am grateful for the help I have received.
