This is actually something I have been considering a couple of weeks at least, I must admit. 

Hey everyone, I know I haven’t written at all last week, but there are times that life and health get in the way - whether physical, mental or emotional. 

Have you ever known that the world has moved from one month to the next but you don’t register it properly?

Yes, as you can guess, that’s something I am going to be writing about today.  I was going to put it in Thoughts of the Week because yes, they were, BUT I am sure we have all felt overwhelmed at some point in our lives.

As you know if you’ve read much of my work that I love watching cooking programmes and on a Saturday morning it’s one of my greatest joys to watch James Martin.

I don’t really know what to say!  Actually I feel a bit speechless (writerless) I guess you’d say.  After updating the website my readership has increased dramatically!

When people talk about forgiving and forgetting, they are assuming that everyone will forgive and forget.  But what they don’t realise is that sometimes doing the two is NOT a good or sensible thing to do.

Can you believe this?  16 years ago today, Kevin and I said “I do” to each other.  It was the best day of my life up until that point.

Have you ever watched people reacting in an overly “sweet” way to people and wondered if it was real or an act?

Do you know the saying that you feel like you’ve just had a week and a half of it?

Gillian ran through the list of items she needed in her mind as she tried to hurry through the shopping centre.  She needed to check she had everything. 

What?  You don’t know what I am talking about?  Well, you know I’ve been talking about when you have low self esteem? 

No, I’m not going to be talking about the small blocks or bricks that young children put together or pile on top of each other.

My goodness!  It seems SO STRANGE to realise that our little boy, our special gift from God, is 12 years old today.

I don’t think you’ll be surprised to hear I’ve been thinking about how having low self-esteem has impacted my life for many years. 

I am pretty sure I have told you that it wasn’t until my 50th year that I did something (nope, can’t remember what) that I didn’t need somebody else to tell me was good because I KNEW it was good and I was proud of it myself.  

I don’t think you’ll be surprised to hear that transitions are on my mind at the moment.

So now I have reached the grand old age of 51.  As a child I never dreamed I would find myself living in a beautiful area of Scotland, married to a Scottish man and now viewing myself as a Scot, too.

I know that here in Scotland children have returned to the nursery/creche/school term but am also aware they haven’t elsewhere and I feel compelled to talk about it a little bit today.
