I cried
I cried alone in the darkness
Because no one was there
I carried my grief all alone
Which only the darkness shared.
The nighttime can be so lonely
Emptiness like a deep void
Nobody there to reach out to
Loneliness inside my soul.
Maybe you would understand
But I don’t know if you can
Grief is an uncertain beast
Everyone holds their own.
I know things aren’t always easy
We all have hard times in our lives
And try to hide our best to hide
Covering the pain inside us.
No matter what you’re going through
Somebody’s been there before you
Finding them isn’t always easy
Try and use some time to search.
