Pick of the Week 20

When I was young I loved reading and would devour mostly any books I could find and would sometimes visit people to see if they had anything new that I could borrow and return to them.  So I read a variety of books by different authors and some I loved, others were so-so and others (of course) I didn’t really like.

All of us are unique individuals and have different interests and do not enjoy all the same kind of writing or books and that’s ok.  That is why there is such a variety of material in the world for us to discover and learn and we either like it or we don’t.  But it DOES mean there is something for EVERYONE out there to look at and enjoy.

Of course, I am well aware that some people have learning difficulties or things like dyslexia that find it difficult (if not impossible) to read.  But that doesn’t mean that there isn’t something that can be done to share in the information or stories available.  There are now so many different avenues for access now that weren’t available in the past and help that can be discovered.  Sometimes, I am well aware that it can be a nightmare FINDING the right help and I discovered something new about my body last year that nobody had discovered in 50 years of my life and it explains a lot to me about my body.

I was chatting to a friend today about reading and we were discussing different authors and how some express the same thing in almost every book they write and it can become really boring because you KNOW what’s going to happen.  I have been reading lots of different types of books now that I am writing more and trying to create some novels.  Sometimes you read a book and you discover information or ways of expressing something that you have never thought of.

TREASURE

Life is full of twists and turns and we learn things as we go and make discoveries on the way.
