What a day!
WHAT a start to the day….ok, well, actually it probably really began yesterday and from before, too. So, you ask, what on EARTH happened to you and your family?
Well, let’s go back a bit. When I was in hospital the last time, I wasn’t allowed to use my cpap machine so after all the palaver of getting it up there unfortunately wasn’t worth it. And at the end of last week, I had a weird runny nose on one side and one weepy eye. So, as I was coughing and sneezing as well, didn’t use the cpap. Kevin suggested I clean it prior to using it again, but I kept forgetting until yesterday and it wasn’t dry enough to use last night, so I had to use a different mask and made it too tight so ended up waking with a migraine.
Kevin took Johnathan out yesterday and from the way he was rubbing his eyes last night I thought HE was starting a migraine, so all the lights were dimmed and he was given medication and went to sleep (which generally cures him). This morning he woke up okay and suddenly shouted he was having a nose bleed! He hasn’t had a big one for years - I think he was still in nursery but this one was huge.
Fortunately Kevin sorted Johnathan out yesterday with the migraine but as per usual, I sorted out the nosebleed this morning. It was a total sense of deja vu! He’s had lots of little ones in between but not much and not often. And he’s now old enough to wash and change himself, which was quite nice for me not to have to go hunting for clean clothes!
As they say, this day can only get better. I know people say things come in threes, but I think that IS the three for our family now.
TREASURE
Good reminder that I am still able to deal with big nosebleeds and Johnathan. Lucky we had enough tissues in the house..and the mask I use is now dry enough for me to put on again tonight.
