News in a Nutshell 21

Seeing Kevin starting his new job has been very rewarding.  He has been enjoying the challenge of learning the new role and the new situation he finds himself in.  It has been delightful to see and I am proud of him.

However, personally, I have discovered I have been struggling.  I have found very little inspiration around me.  And mentally, when that happens and I can’t write, it can feel like my brain has just turned off and sometimes I cannot get it going again.

Also, I have had tremendous stomach issues, which has made me feel terrible.  Fortunately, Kevin was able to figure out and sort out the medication issues that were causing the trouble for me.  I have been so grateful to him for doing so, because I would not have been able to work it out myself!

Johnathan has been going to a summer holiday place and enjoying it greatly.  He has been wanting to play with me, but I just didn’t have the brain capacity to play anything complicated and those are the games he prefers playing.  Sometimes we were able to agree a game to play but not always.

In fact, yesterday we played frisbee golf on the wii.  I must admit I do enjoy the game, but we haven’t played it for a few years so my skills were terrible - not that it even bothers me when I lose.

It’s been great getting the right medication because I am beginning to feel like myself again and am returning to my normal activities.  In fact, today I did some etching with my carer and enjoyed it greatly.  Feeling so much better makes a difference physically, mentally and emotionally.

Life is returning back to normal and I am looking forward to continuing with my writing and am starting to get inspired again.
