News in a Nutshell 29
I think I have mentioned this before, but I have a condition that is called Treacher Collins and needed my face to be reconstructed 16 years ago. For the past five years, I have known the condition has been playing up, but only found somebody earlier this year who knew what was wrong with me.
Anyway, the problems due to this specific condition have been getting worse, and I also (somehow) got a bad tummy bug when nobody was sick, with a stubbornly high temperature. Combined with that, I have had almost constant migraines with an on and off cold. The things my body can do!
Basically, because of all of this, I haven’t managed to write for quite some time. In fact, I haven’t had the stamina/energy/ability to do much. Johnathan has been to the Open Evening at his new secondary/senior school and enjoyed it. I was grateful to hear it because this school is going to be a much larger group of children.
We were all having our hair cut last night and I was surprised when Kevin told the hairdresser he had been at his new company for six months already. Sometimes it feels like he started there years ago and other times it feels like yesterday. But what I DO love about this new job he has is that I can SEE he enjoys the work he does and is finding it both challenging and rewarding.
There was something else I was going to say, but I have forgotten. It has been wonderful to see so many new people viewing the website and I am hoping to be able to begin answering questions that have been put to me by the end of the week.
It’s nearly Christmas and whether things are good or bad with you right now, remember to be kind, not only to yourself but to others around you. I can assure you that you will never know by looking at a person what is going on in their lives. So, over this season, I would ask you to be kind, gentle and compassionate in every situation you meet.
