News in a nutshell 25

So now I have reached the grand old age of 51.  As a child I never dreamed I would find myself living in a beautiful area of Scotland, married to a Scottish man and now viewing myself as a Scot, too.

But life, as you know, doesn’t always go the way you think.  Not that there’s anything wrong with that but situation and circumstances change and you realise things are/have to be or will be different.

Sometimes the decisions you make are what drives a change for you and your life while other times it is the situation or circumstances that change everything.

Last week Kevin took Johnathan out and about for his last week of holiday and they had a fabulous time.  Now he is back in school for his last year of junior/primary school, and we (his parents) are looking to find the right school for him.

Kevin has gone back to work this week and it’s been wonderful to see just how much he is enjoying his new role.  I can see his courage, competence and ability and self-belief develop in ways I never imagined.

For myself I (as you can see) am still writing.  I am also still doing etching to help my creative side develop and grow but am looking forward to trying something different this year.

TREASURE

It’s amazing that I now live in Scotland and it’s my home.  I will, with Kevin’s help, find the right place with the support Johnathan needs in his future.
