News in a Nutshell 26

My goodness!  It seems SO STRANGE to realise that our little boy, our special gift from God, is 12 years old today.  12 years ago, I gave birth to a wonderful boy and after having 4 failed pregnancies, to finally have a child here on earth to look after was simply amazing!

As I have said many a time, he is an extremely clever boy and I love him dearly.  He has brought such joy into our lives and we are truly blessed.  Today, as I have said is his birthday.  He has been so looking forward to it and I think I can say he loves them all, but for me, I think the most amazing present he was given is the new generation furby.

Furbies were first created (I think Kevin said) early 90s and he collected them.  They have different abilities.  This new one, however, has lights and speech and games and music and is REALLY soft.  I haven’t seen anything SO perfectly suited to sensory issues in one toy (and no, I haven’t been paid to say so).

This week I am still trying to get the transition process to the senior/secondary school started and am continuing with my writing.  I have searched the house and found my beautiful old fountain pen that Kevin bought me some years ago and the ink container and a beautiful journal I never finished writing in.  So I have decided to use that to start journaling again.

The new member for Kevin’s team started today so he is n the office working today.  He and the new boss are working together well and he is so happy in his work and I am loving seeing it.
