News in a Nutshell 20

Well, there is quite a bit of news, I guess.  So many different things have been happening.  I just wanted to fill you all in on what has been going on.

Johnathan finished Primary/Year 6 in school today and when he returns in August he will be entering the FINAL YEAR of Primary/Junior school.  My goodness!  When did he get so big?!  The baby I could hold in one arm when he was born is now taller than me!

It’s at times like this I think I miss our other babies more.  It’s the end of an era and I always wanted lots of children, and yes, I have six in heaven but there is only one here.  I love him and I know Johnathan is a special gift to us, but it makes me wonder what the others would have been like.

On Monday, Kevin starts his new job in Glasgow.  He is really looking forward to it and getting back into working life again, although I think the break did him the world of good.

I have had quite a number of days without any inspiration for writing.  Ok, I have messaged people and stuff but writing something in the form of a post or a blog or poem or chapter of a book, just hasn’t hit me.

Strange to think that I have now known Jamie for two years and he has done an outstanding job with the website and everything.  I wouldn’t be where I am now without him.  He knows how to make what I write look good.  When I tried doing it myself some years ago it was pretty much a disaster and I didn’t want to return to it.

So, thank you very much Jamie for being there and helping in any way you can.  Two years of working with you has been brilliant and I am looking forward to seeing how we can progress things further in the future.

And I guess that’s about the extent of my news in a nutshell.  We are here, we are happy and new challenges/difficulties lie ahead but we will make our way through them together.
